Alliance Laundry Systems, a global leader in commercial laundry equipment, has acquired the distribution assets of Metropolitan Laundry Machinery Sales, based in South Richmond Hill, New York.
Metropolitan has served as a key player in the Northeast market for more than five decades.

The company’s South Richmond Hill (Queens) location will remain open and be renamed Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution–New York Metro Office.
Metropolitan was founded in 1968 by Howard Katzman and quickly became a leading distributor of laundry equipment for laundromats, on-premises laundries, and multi-housing customers in the greater New York area. Today, under the leadership of Katzman’s son, Marc, the company continues to serve customers with premium Alliance brands, including Speed Queen, UniMac and Huebsch.
