{"id":7337,"date":"2019-08-08T12:20:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T17:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/planetlaundry.com\/?p=7337"},"modified":"2019-08-08T12:32:54","modified_gmt":"2019-08-08T17:32:54","slug":"cla-connect-live-hosts-midwest-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planetlaundry.com\/cla-connect-live-hosts-midwest-events\/","title":{"rendered":"CLA Connect LIVE Hosts Midwest Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Current and potential store owners, along with distributors and manufacturers, gathered in Beachwood, Ohio, on July 30 and in Bloomington, Minn., on July 31 to network, enjoy a nice meal and sharpen their business knowledge at two recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinlaundry.org\/events\/cla-connect-live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CLA Connect LIVE<\/a> events.<\/p>\n<p>The Ohio meeting featured speaker Steve Marcionetti, president of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laundrycard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Card Concepts Inc.<\/a>, who presented, \u201cPayment Options: 8 Things You Need to Know.\u201d At the Minnesota event, multi-store owner Bob Frandsen presented, \u201cSmall Markets, Big Success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After each presentation, attendees had the opportunity to share ideas and connect with their peers. In addition, the CLA provided updates on some of its latest initiatives \u2013 including new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinlaundry.org\/for-investors\/demographic-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">demographic reports<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/laundrycares.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LaundryCares<\/a> programs and the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinlaundry.org\/events\/excellence-in-laundry-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Excellence in Laundry conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been in the industry since 1984 and came away with some great ideas and changes to improve my business,\u201d said Scott Vlahos of Advantage Equipment Inc., based in Akron, Ohio, who attended the Ohio meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI learned a lot and met some great contacts,\u201d noted Minnesota event attendee Daniel Eggermont of Rain &amp; Shine Laundromat in Marshall, Minn.<\/p>\n<p>The CLA has nearly 20 Connect LIVE events planned for the remainder of the year. They include meetings on September 10 in Santa Monica, Calif.; September 11 in Seattle; September 24 in Tinley Park, Ill.; and September 25 in Milwaukee.
