Advantage Equipment Inc.
, based in Akron, Ohio, recently welcomed two new team members – Sales Representative Don Jackovic and Laundry Chemical Sales Representative Dillon Buffington.
Jackovic – who has 35 years of experience in retail food and processor equipment sales – comes to Advantage Equipment with powerful management, sales and distribution skills, according to company owner Scott Vlahos. Jackovic’s career has exposed him to numerous market sectors. He was a licensing developer in Ohio for a branded foodservice concept, as well as a manufacturer’s representative for supermarket, restaurant and hospitality food processing equipment. His professional experience also includes serving as a regional distributor marketing development manager for Mettler Toledo retail products.
“Don and I have been friends since junior high school,” Vlahos said. “He brings significant insights to Advantage from his years of running a company with similar service, parts, sales and consulting components. We welcome his valued experience, ideas and management skills.”
In preparation for his new position with Advantage Equipment, Jackovic completed sales training at Continental Girbau Inc. and Anderson Chemical.
Buffington boasts 11 years of experience in customer service and sales. He managed Laundry Time LLC, a self-service laundry in Akron, for five years. In addition, he served six years as a sales representative for Pilati Concession, a company known for customer service and point-of-sale interaction with customers.
“Interacting with customers has always been the best part of my career,” Buffington said. “With the training I’ve received from Anderson Chemical and ALCO-Mandala Chemical Company, I plan to bring a higher level of customer satisfaction to the laundry chemical users in our territory.”
“He’s got a great attitude and is looking forward to meeting our customers and interacting with people in the field,” Vlahos said. “Dillon is the kind of guy who always goes the extra mile, and we are extremely pleased he’s joined our team.”
Established in 1996, Advantage Equipment is a full-service distributor of vended, on-premises and industrial laundry equipment and chemicals throughout West Virginia, as well as major portions of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
