[Sustainability Expert Tim Greiner Rounds Out Lineup for California Event
The Coin Laundry Association has announced that a third keynote presentation has been added to the educational lineup for next month’s Excellence in Laundry Conference, which will be held May 18-19 at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in Ojai, Calif.
The recently added speaker is Tim Greiner, who will present “Laundry with Purpose: Our Sustainable Future,” from 10:45 a.m. to noon on May 18.
Greiner – the co-founder and managing director of Pure Strategies Inc., based in Gloucester, Mass. – has pioneered approaches to building environmental and social integrity into products, brands and businesses. His expertise spans the spectrum from developing corporate strategy for multinationals, designing product sustainability programs, creating strategies to transform supply chains, and fostering collaborative mechanisms to lift the sustainability performance of entire industries.
During his special engagement at Excellence in Laundry, Greiner – whose clients include Walmart and The North Face – will explore what sustainability actually means for the self-service laundry industry, as well as discussing its future growth and development.
Greiner joins previously announced Excellence in Laundry keynoters Alan Beaulieu of ITR Economics and demographics expert Paul Taylor, who has authored “The Next America” and other best-selling business books.
Rounding out the educational schedule will be a panel discussion dubbed “Doing Well by Doing Good.” This session will feature successful laundry owners sharing examples of community involvement and what it’s meant to their lives, as well as to their bottom lines. The panelists will include Brian Holland and Tyrone Akins of The Laundry Café, Paul Pettefer of Laundry World, Tom Rhodes of Sunshine Laundries, and Jeff Gardner of The Laundry Doctor.
In addition, Excellence in Laundry attendees will be treated to “An Evening with Kenny Aronoff” – where the highly acclaimed touring drummer and studio musician will outline his “7 Keys for a Successful Life and Career,” while also sharing numerous stories from a lifetime on the road with such icons as John Mellencamp, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, John Fogerty and many others.
