Current and potential store owners, as well as laundry equipment distributors and manufacturers, gathered in Hackensack, N.J., on February 5 to network, enjoy a nice meal and sharpen their business knowledge at the most recent CLA Connect LIVE event. The program featured speaker Larry Trapani, president of Brooks-Waterburn, who presented “The Laundromat Lease Trap.” After his presentation, attendees had the opportunity to share ideas and connect with their peers over lunch.
In addition, the CLA provided updates on some of its new initiatives, including enhanced demographics reports, the association’s new digital marketing program and the upcoming Excellence in Laundry Conference in San Diego.
Also, CLA Board Chair Brian Grell provided an update on the progress of such LaundryCares Foundation programs as upcoming free laundry and literacy days and the LaundryCares Literacy Summit, which will be held next month in Chicago.
The CLA has 41 Connect LIVE meetings planned in 2020 across the country. The remaining events this month will be held February 13 in Seattle, February 26 in Nashville, Tenn., and February 27 in Raleigh, N.C.
