Current and potential store owners, distributors and manufacturers gathered in North Bethesda, Md., on March 5 and in King of Prussia, Pa., on March 6 to network, enjoy a nice meal and sharpen their business knowledge at the CLA Connect LIVE events.
The Maryland event featured speaker Dennis Diaz, president of Spynr Inc., presented “The Marketing Power Your Laundry Business Needs to Survive & Thrive Online.” Bob Eisenberg, regional vice president of the Fowler Equipment Co., presented “Demographics: Interpreting the Numbers” at the Pennsylvania event.
After the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to share ideas and connect with their peers. In addition, the CLA provided updates on some of its new initiatives, such as new demographics reports, LaundryCares programs and The Clean Show.
Amy Doody, owner of Amy’s Laundry in Westminster, Md., shared her feedback about the Maryland event: “This was a very good use of time. It’s not easy to get out of the shop, so I’m glad that this was worthwhile.”
“I was very surprised at the level of expertise at this event, and I learned how important the setup of the store determines the traffic of customers,” noted Pennsylvania event attendee Angela Serries, who owns Sudz & Bubbles, Inc. in Bethlehem, Pa.
The CLA has 51 events planned in 2019 across the country. The remaining March CLA Connect LIVE events will be held on March 13 in Milwaukee; March 14 in Chicago; March 19 in Flushing, N.Y.; March 20 in Cherry Hill, N.J.; and March 26 in West Des Moines, Iowa.
