More than 100 laundry professionals took part in the Coin Laundry Association’s “Women in Vended Laundry” luncheon program at Clean 2022 in Atlanta. The sold-out session served as a key focal point of the association’s initiative to recognize, empower and connect women in the laundry industry – and, in turn, develop leaders for the CLA, as well as industrywide.
This event featured best-selling author and podcaster Fawn Germer, who presented “The Power Hour: How to Kick A** as Your Authentic Self.” Germer drew upon her experiences interviewing hundreds of accomplished leaders to show attendees how to use their body language effectively and add firepower to their language so that they can be as impactful and genuine as possible in all settings.
Germer displayed how to use your body to convey confidence and power, as well as how to handle interruptions, protect your ideas from being stolen, and surround yourself with a support team that helps you grow your strength.
In addition, each luncheon attendee received a copy of Germer’s book, “Pearls: Powerful Wisdom from Powerful Women” – which brings together some of the most enlightening passages Germer had collected while conducting interviews for her first three books.
“This was only the second ‘Women in Vended Laundry’ event, and you could feel the energy in the room,” said Danielle Bauer, director of membership and education for the Coin Laundry Association. “It provided a unique opportunity for women to make connections and learn from each other.”
