CSC ServiceWorks Inc. – a provider of commercial laundry solutions and air vending services, headquartered in Plainview, N.Y. – has announced that Lonny Warner has joined the organization’s executive leadership team as chief operating officer.
In this position, Warner will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Mark Hjelle and be responsible for “aligning and prioritizing key strategic initiatives and ensuring operational excellence across the company,” according to CSC. Warner will assume all existing reporting relationships to this role.
“As we lead our company’s course for the future, Lonny’s experience, leadership and business process acumen will add to our transformation as we continue to work to set a new standard for operational excellence,” Hjelle said. “Also, to recognize the many contributions that [outgoing COO] Phil Emma has made, including through our most challenging times, I thank him for his leadership and wish him all the best as he begins this next chapter.”
Warner brings three decades of experience in a series of senior roles at several organizations. He comes to CSC ServiceWorks from The Brink’s Company, where he served as chief operating officer, senior vice president and general manager, directing all cash-in-transit terminal operations throughout the nation. Warner oversaw product development, lean processes, network logistics optimization and growth, and financial modeling to meet clients’ needs across multiple industries.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the industry-leading team at CSC, and I’m excited to help lead the next phase of its journey as the company continues to reimagine its business and the larger industry,” Warner explained. “The challenges we face are opportunities to evolve business processes to reflect the evolving world and strengthen the company for the future.”
Before working for Brinks, Warner served in multiple roles with such organizations as Menlo Logistics, Con-Way Inc. and Emery Worldwide Forwarding.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Oklahoma, with additional executive management studies at Northwestern and Michigan State Universities.
In a related item, CSC has promoted Greg Bochicchio to the newly created role of chief transformation officer.
Bochicchio will report directly to CEO Mark Hjelle and serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team. In his new position, Bochicchio will lead the processes and distributed resources to continue to identify and advance the company’s value creation agenda.
“Our past efforts and success, combined with the volatile landscape that we are currently navigating, have made it clear that a transformation agenda will continue to exist for CSC going forward,” Hjelle noted. “Beyond leading a significant portion of our business, Greg has successfully led transformational initiatives and has demonstrated how we have – and will continue to – embrace transformation, with enthusiasm and the best of our collective experience and thought.”
Bochicchio brings extensive experience to his new role, having spent the past six years as executive vice president of CSC. Before that, he served in various positions, notably as vice president of commercial sales and vice president and general manager within the industry.
“Over the past few years, we’ve made significant strides to innovate and transform our business,” Bochicchio said. “We have made this part of the normal course of how we do business and, most recently, to assure the continuity of our services in the face of the current health and economic crisis. I can’t say enough about what we’ve done to transform ourselves in support of our customers and communities and couldn’t be more excited to work with this great team to continue our evolution.”
Bochicchio earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from Babson College and has completed advanced studies at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, MIT’s Sloan School of Management and Harvard Business School.
