Electrolux recently named Anna Ohlsson-Leijon its chief financial officer. In addition, the company has promoted Ola Nilsson to the position of executive vice president and head of its small appliances business category.
Ohlsson-Leijon joined Electrolux in 2001 as director of project management. She has since held senior management positions that include head of the group’s internal audit function from 2005, group treasurer from 2008, and head of corporate control and services from 2011. She was appointed CFO of major appliances EMEA in 2013.
Nilsson joined the company in 1994. From 2003, he held management positions in small appliances based in Stockholm and was appointed president Asia-Pacific within the small appliances business area in 2008.
Ohlsson-Leijon succeeds Tomas Eliasson, who is leaving the company to pursue outside opportunities. Nilsson is taking over for Henrik Bergström, who will work on special assignments reporting to CEO Jonas Samuelson.
“Anna will be an excellent addition to group management, with long experience from financial functions throughout Electrolux,” Samuelson said. “As CFO of major appliances EMEA, she has been responsible for driving the strategic agenda and was a key contributor to the earnings improvement of the business area.
“I am very pleased to present Ola as our new head of small appliances,” he added. “He has a very good track record from running small appliances in Asia-Pacific and, most recently, successfully led the turnaround of our laundry business in EMEA. I also want to thank Henrik for his valuable contributions in his current role and look forward to continue working with him.”
