Speed Queen has announced that the first Speed Queen Laundry franchise in California is now open in Long Beach, with a grand opening event scheduled for April 6.

The owners of the new 3,600-square-foot store are Saba Safiari, a former U.S. Marine, and his uncle, Robert Rafia.

Safiari and Rafia are excited to open their doors to the neighborhood with a week of grand opening activities on April 6-13. Customers will be treated to free wash cycles, and those who download and sign up for the Speed Queen app will receive $5 added to their accounts.

The laundromat features Speed Queen’s latest washer and dryer technology; a clean, colorful and well-lit interior; and a children’s area, complete with books and iPads. The business also boasts a wash-dry-fold service.

“The hard-working people of Long beach deserve the best, and we know this laundry will give them a premium experience,” Safiari said.
