Laundry pickup-and-delivery service HappyNest has expanded into the greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky markets, as well as the Ocean Township, N.J. region.

“Dave Menz and his team at Laundry Magician have been a driving force in the pickup-and-delivery business for the past three-plus years, and we consider ourselves truly lucky to work with such an industry leader,” said HappyNest founder John MacKrell. “We were solely focused on partnering with Dave and his team in the Cincinnati and northern Kentucky markets and knew we would be fighting an uphill battle to acquire market share without them on our side.”

Menz owns four laundromats under the Queen City Laundry brand in the greater Cincinnati area, with its flagship store opening soon in Hamilton, Ohio. His Laundry Magician business will be rebranded as HappyNest.

“We have seen the response over the past few years to our Laundry Magician service, and to now be part of a national brand with a larger footprint and increased market penetration was a no brainer,” Menz noted.

In New Jersey, HappyNest has partnered with another local laundry operator.

“Ocean Township possesses favorable demographics, which make it a logical location for our first New Jersey rollout,” MacKrell said. “The success of our New Jersey expansion will be aided by our partnership with laundromat owner Charles Measley. We could not have asked for a better partner in this exciting venture.”

Measley, a local Jersey Shore resident, owns two successful Monmouth County laundromats in Ocean Township and Neptune City. Both locations offer a full variety of services, ranging from self-service laundry to full-service wash-dry-fold and drycleaning.

“As our business continues to thrive and expand, a partnership with HappyNest was a logical next step to fuel our growth and further improve the customer experience,” Measley said.

Other than new branding at these locations, day-to-day operations will remain unchanged.
