Laundry pickup-and-delivery service HappyNest recently expanded into the Detroit market.

“We are starting to build our brand in middle America, and Detroit is at the heart of it all,” said HappyNest founder John MacKrell. “Aaron McLean is a great business owner, very well-known in both the community and laundry industry, and is the perfect partner to run the HappyNest brand in the Detroit area.”

McLean, a lifelong Detroit area resident, has been in the laundromat business for more than 15 years – working with his family and, most recently, as the owner of Cristy’s Speed Wash in Rockwood for the past three years.

“Our family has been in the laundromat business for a long time, and we have seen the industry evolve over the years,” McLean explained. “We see the pickup-and-delivery business as the next logical step in growing our business, and we know the HappyNest team will be with us every step of the way. We have been looking at starting a pickup-and-delivery service for the past year or so but just weren’t sure how or where to start logistically. The HappyNest team laid everything out for us, and with all of the support they provide, we know this will be a successful venture.”

In addition to his self-service laundry business, McLean now offers residential pickup and delivery throughout the greater Detroit area.
