The couple first realized the potential investment opportunity a laundry business could provide when they installed coin-operated washers and dryers in their rental properties. After seeing the revenue stream it provided, in addition to increasing renter satisfaction, they decided to start looking into opening a self-service laundry. After years of searching for the right location, the couple purchased an existing store that was close to home, but in need of remodeling.
After the Milams remodeled the laundry and had operated the business for a year, they decided to replace their outdated equipment. For this retooling project, they worked closely with ACE Commercial Laundry Equipment’s Andy Wray and Rudy Munoz to select the best mix of machines for their store.

The laundromat also offers a wash-dry-fold service for local residents and businesses, which features texting capabilities to notify customers when their orders are complete.
