DAY 1 – Marketed the advantages of washers touting extract speeds greater than 200 G-force! Why should on-premise laundries be the only ones to benefit from high-performance washers with high-speed extract capabilities? Thanks to Continental, vended laundries began enjoying the high-speed benefits of lower operational costs, greater customer turnover and improved profit potential.
1995 – Introduced high-speed freestanding washers to vended laundries!
Commercial double- and triple-load, soft-mount Continental washers entered the market and offered easy installations in unconventional locations, lower operational costs and boosted profit potential.
1995 – Brought 75- and 125-pound commercial washers to vended laundries! Continental aggressively marketed the benefits of large-capacity vended washers for taking on family sized loads, comforters, rugs and more. Large-capacity washers have become customer favorites!
1997 – Delivered and trademarked the Express Laundry Center brand! This turnkey vended laundry package touts high-speed, freestanding equipment, craved services, and marketing/operational support. Today, there are scores of Express Laundry Centers operating across the country where customers complete their laundry in under an hour!
1997 – Provided energy-saving vended washers with programmable water temperatures! Now laundry owners could adjust water temperatures and associated pricing for maximized efficiency and profits.
2005 – Launched end-user and distributor marketing services with the establishment of Continental Creative Services! CCS brings targeted advertising, marketing and public relations services to vended laundry owners and distributors! Learn more at www.continentalccs.com.
2006 – Debuted ExpressWash freestanding washers with 300 plus Gs in 20-, 30 and 40-pound capacities! By replacing hard-mount and lower-speed washers with ExpressWash Washers, vended laundries effectively cut overhead costs while serving more customers per day.
2006 — Unleashed Serial Communication! Now owners can control, manage and program card-operated laundry equipment remotely!
2006 – Developed a public Energy Analysis comparing hard-mount washers with Continental ExpressWash freestanding washers! Consistently enhanced and utilized to this day, the Energy Analysis is a valuable tool that shows owners the cost benefit of high G-force (freestanding) washers. 2008 – Began installing Continental Flatwork Ironers in vended laundries wanting to expand commercial services! Today, many vended laundries use Continental Ironers to bolster commercial laundry productivity and profits. Continental ironers allow them to quickly and properly iron table and bed linens and to embrace larger commercial accounts.
2009 – Developed Continental University vended laundry training! Continental University offers card- and coin-operated laundry owners and investors the benefit of experiencing and managing a real-life coin laundry. The structured training seminar delves into vended laundry equipment, services, accounting, pricing, marketing and personnel management.
2009 – Debuted large-capacity freestanding ExpressWash Washers in 55- and 90-pound capacities! In place at vended laundries across the country, they boast extract speeds of greater than 300 Gs, advanced programmability, and simple installation. Now, customers relish the ability to wash, dry and fold large loads in less than 60 minutes!
2010 – Installation of Tunnel Washer! The first tunnel washer was installed by a vended laundry owner in order to expand commercial laundry business. By processing up to 3,000 laundry pounds per hour, the tunnel washer bolstered commercial laundry productivity and revenue.
2014 – Introduced the innovated ProfitPlus Control & Kit on vended Continental Washers! ProfitPlus offers superior owner programmability, customer-craved “extras,” and premium cycle options – SuperWash, Extra Wash, Extra Rinse and Delicate. Simultaneously, Continental introduced the ProfitPlus Income Acceleration Kit. This marked the first time a manufacturer offered a microprocessor income acceleration and upgrade kit for vended washers.
