As contactless payment methods continue to gain popularity worldwide, KioSoft’s CleanPay Mobile app for laundry has grown to more than 3 million users, according to the company.
The pandemic has accelerated the transition to mobile payment and the adoption of cash alternatives, particularly in the wake of continued disruptions in the coin supply. In fact, KioSoft reports that the user base for CleanPay Mobile tripled within one year, jumping from 1 million to 3 million.
In 2017, KioSoft – headquartered in Boynton Beach, Fla. – recognized how reliant consumers were becoming on their mobile phones for completing daily tasks and, thus, developed CleanPay Mobile to meet the need for an app-based solution in the laundry market.
CleanPay Mobile is available on both Android and iOS. This dedicated laundry app enables users to add funds, view machine availability, start machines, and request refunds all within a few clicks. There also is an option to share an account with family members or roomates.
In addition, CleanPay Mobile delivers real-time cycle notifcations so that customers know when to head back to the laundromat. The app provides laundromat owners with the ability to own their customer data, access KioSoft’s cloud-based reporting and management system, and brand the app.
On average, operators have seen an increase of more than 20 percent in net new revenue and a decrease of 10 percent in operational costs when shifting to CleanPay Mobile, the company reported.
KioSoft also offers additional technology for flexible payment options, including kiosks that allow for payment by laundry card and pay-at-the-machine readers.
KioSoft has a presence in more than 35 countries.
