Laundry Pro of Florida Inc.‘s recent “Big Top 20” event drew 140 self-service laundry owners, vendors and industry experts for a two-day circus-themed 20th anniversary celebration, with all Laundry Pro team members dressed up as circus characters. Complete with “big top” games, food and entertainment, laundry operators enjoyed equipment and parts specials; participated in technical service workshops; and attended presentations by industry experts.
“It was an incredible success,” said President Ron Jansen. “We held fantastic instructional schools; enjoyed great food and company; and gave away a double-load Dexter washer, a $300 Hard Rock Café gift certificate and a 42-inch LG television.”
The event also provided a means for giving back to Laundry Pro’s loyal customers, according to Jansen.
“Laundry Pro has grown over 20 years because of customer loyalty, and we are grateful for that,” he said. “In all we do, we try to put ourselves in our customers’ shoes and help them make decisions as if we are making them for ourselves. Our customers trust that we’ll give them accurate and reliable information when it comes to making business decisions.”
The celebration – held at the company’s headquarters in Lakeland, Fla. – included a number of opportunities for laundry owners to explore ways of improving their businesses. The “Big Top” educational presentations included “What’s Up in Marketing” (by Coin Laundry Association President and CEO Brian Wallace), “Dexter Live” (by Dexter Regional Sales Manager Rick Case), “Ozonating Your Business” (by Hamilton Engineering President Jeff Deal), “Attendant Training” (by Phil Irwin, owner of Waters Express Laundry Center), “The Power of the Card” (by Card Concepts General Manager Steve Marcionetti), and “7 Ways to Greater Profits Starting Tomorrow” (by Continental Girbau President Mike Floyd).
“We also catered to vended laundry owners interested in expanding into commercial laundry services,” Jansen explained.
For example, a 20-inch Continental flatwork ironer was on hand to show laundry operators how flatwork ironing works to bolster business.
Laundry Pro, which holds shows similar to “Big Top” each year, will continue its tradition of having fun. The company has already announced that it will host “This Ain’t Our First Rodeo – 2017 Roundup,” which is scheduled for February 23, 2017.
