LaundryCares Foundation Executive Vice President Dan Naumann recently visited Dexter Laundry’s headquarters in Fairfield, Iowa, to present the manufacturer with an award recognizing the company as a signature sponsor of the charitable foundation and its mission.
However, during the award presentation, Dexter President Craig Kirchner turned the tables on Naumann – surprisingly presenting LaundryCares with Dexter’s 125-year recognition award celebrating its 125 years of serving the vended and commercial laundry industries, and making the LCF one of only a handful of laundry industry recipients of this honor.
This exchange of awards and recognition took place during a company meeting of Dexter Laundry’s leadership team.
Through the years, Dexter Laundry has made several contributions to help support the overall vision of the LaundryCares Foundation. As a signature sponsor, Dexter’s financial support helped LaundryCares to perform a number of various initiatives in 2019.
Among the projects completed or enhanced last year – thanks in part to Dexter’s generous support – include several free laundry events, the launch of Family Read, Play & Learn spaces in laundromats across the country, expanded outreach to communities throughout the U.S., and the growing trend of making the local laundromat a center of learning and engagement for neighborhood families.
