Maytag Commercial Laundry has named Superior Laundry Equipment Co., headquartered in Brooklyn, N.Y., a supporting distributor for Maytag and ADC commercial laundry products in southern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and select northern counties of Maryland.
Founded in 2005 by Michael Gekelman, Superior Laundry is a full-service distributor serving the vended laundry, on-premises laundry and multi-housing laundry markets.
“We have built our business on providing prompt, reliable and cost-effective industry solutions delivered with integrity and professionalism,” Gekelman said.
“We’re very excited for the appointment of Michael and his Superior Laundry team into this area,” noted Michelle Suhy-Elzinga, national sales manager for Maytag Commercial Laundry. “Superior Laundry Equipment will be able to step into this new market and provide all new and existing Maytag Commercial Laundry customers the service and support they’ve been accustomed to over the years from Equipment Marketers.”
Gekelman also manages laundry facilities that he built and continues to operate, according to Maytag. This experience has provided him with insight into what it takes to run a laundry business.

Superior Laundry will soon have a physical presence in south New Jersey/eastern Pennsylvania, with a complete support team including parts and service.
