Karen Tennant, vice president of risk management for Eastern Funding, has been named to Monitor’s list of Top Women in Equipment Finance for 2024. The recognition highlights Tennant’s contributions and leadership within the industry, showcasing her dedication and hard work. Her commitment to excellence has not only propelled her career but has also inspired many others in the field.
Tennant has been in the equipment finance industry for more than 30 years – joining Eastern Funding eight years ago to run the company’s risk group. Her efforts to build out that department at the same time Eastern was experiencing rapid growth was challenging, Tennant explained, and she takes pride in the completion of that project.
Another highlight of Tennant’s time at Eastern Funding came during the pandemic, where she and the entire team provided customers relief by deferring payments or offering interest-only payments for a number of months – in essence, assisting in saving hundreds of businesses from shutting their doors.
“It’s been an honor speaking with customers and seeing how their businesses are now thriving,” Tennant told Monitor.
Her inclusion on the magazine’s prestigious list is a testament to her influence and impact in equipment finance. Tennant’s passion and expertise continue to set a high standard, and this recent accolade is a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, Eastern Funding stated.
