Laundry and drycleaning delivery service Rinse recently acquired Dryv, a Chicago-based, on-demand drycleaning and laundry provider.
Dryv is the latest in a series of acquisitions for Rinse. In addition, the company purchased OffToYou earlier this year, Cleanly’s San Francisco operations in 2019 and Washio in 2016. The acquisition of Dryv marks a significant milestone for Rinse, not only in the Chicago market but also in its quest for national expansion, the company reported.
“We’re thrilled to expand Rinse’s presence and capabilities in Chicago with the acquisition of Dryv,” said Ajay Prakash, CEO of Rinse. “Chicago is a great market, and we’re seeing a lot of positive momentum here with demand back up to pre-COVID levels. The timing of this acquisition couldn’t have been better.”
According to Rinse, former Dryv customers will benefit from expanded services beyond strictly drycleaning and wash-dry-fold – such as hang dry, repairs and more. In addition, Rinse offers Rinse Repeat, its laundry delivery subscription service that is priced by the bag rather than by the pound, as well as Rinse for Business, a drycleaning and laundry employee benefit that picks up and delivers laundry at home or the office.
Founded in 2013, Rinse’s services include drycleaning, launder-and-press, wash-and-fold, hang dry and more. The company serves customers in seven major markets, including San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Washington, D.C.
