Speed Queen

Alliance Laundry Systems has promoted Craig Madson to North American sales manager of Speed Queen Multi-Housing. Madson succeeds Chuck Melton, who will retire in 2015.

“Craig has been a valuable asset to Alliance for many years, and his experience with sales and customer relations made him an ideal candidate to fill such an important role,” said William Bittner, vice president of North American sales for Alliance. “We look forward to Craig’s continued success and congratulate him on his new assignment.”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Madson joined Alliance in 2003 and has held various positions during his tenure. Most recently, he served as Alliance’s national accounts sales manager where he coordinated sales activities. As the Speed Queen Multi-Housing North American sales manager, he will oversee Speed Queen equipment sales to laundry service providers (LSPs) in the United States and Canada. These customers support common laundry rooms in facilities including apartment properties, college and university residence halls, and military bases.

“While I have big shoes to fill, I am looking forward to helping our LSP customers in this segment grow their businesses and, in turn, support their customers,” Madson said.

Melton, a 42-year veteran of the company, has served as an important and respected leader in the multi-housing laundry industry and at Alliance.

“I want to thank Chuck for his years of service and dedication to Alliance Laundry Systems, and wish him the very best in his retirement,” Bittner said. “While he will be deeply missed, he has earned the opportunity to enjoy more time with family and friends.”
