Established in 1958 by Durwood R. Davis Jr., Star Distributing – headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. – this year celebrates 65 years of serving the laundry industry.
A long-time full-service distributor, Star has provided laundromat owners in the Southeast with sales, service, installation, and parts for several decades. Moreover, in the mid-1990s, Star Distributing President and CEO Michael Davis – in a bid to further diversify and cater to the evolving needs of the industry – upped the ante and launched PartsKing.com, a dedicated parts division of Star Distributing.
Through the years, the company’s many achievements have not gone unnoticed. In fact, at the most recent Clean Show in Atlanta, Speed Queen recognized the distributorship with two of its most coveted honors – the Distributor of the Year and Finance Partner of the Year awards.
Despite deep roots in Tennessee, the company’s influence extends well beyond its home state, with Star Distributing helping to successfully establish more than 5,000 laundry facilities throughout Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia.
