Statewide Laundry Equipment recently hosted three full days of laundry improvement expos, which boasted impressive turnouts each day. These events – held September 13-14 in Kissimmee, Fla., and September 21 in Hialeah, Fla. – featured educational seminars covering the latest industry trends, vendor showcases, guest speakers, a bus tour of three successful laundries in the Kissimmee area, financing and parts discounts, and giveaways for the attendees.
The first day of the Kissimmee expo, which took place at the Radisson Resort, included an interactive panel discussion – “What Changes Did I Make That Worked Best in My Laundromat?” – featuring local laundry owners, and moderated by Coin Laundry Association President and CEO Brian Wallace. The other main topic that day included “How to Increase Wash-Dry-Fold Revenue and Profits,” by Ed Ellis of 1 Clean Laundry in St. Cloud, Fla. A cocktail party, sponsored by ESD, was held that evening.
Day Two of the Kissimmee event featured a “vendor crawl,” which allowed laundry owners the chance to connect with leading local and national vendors. This was followed by various interactive discussions, including a live virtual remote management demonstration by Tom Fleck, senior regional manager at Speed Queen, and a presentation on how to maximize vending revenue, by FabriClean.
The Miami show, which was held at Statewide Laundry’s Miami office in Hialeah, kicked off with a payment alternatives presentation by Mark Sperry of ESD, followed by a vendor crawl of top local and regional companies serving the industry.
Both events wrapped up with one lucky attendee from each show winning a 65-inch LED TV.
