Textile Care Allied Trades Association CEO David Cotter passed away on August 9 in Polk County, Fla.
Since April 1993, Cotter, 64, served as the chief executive officer of TCATA, which is an international trade association representing the manufacturers and distributors of drycleaning and laundry equipment and supplies. TCATA is one of the five sponsoring associations of the Clean Show, along with the Coin Laundry Association. In 2011 and again in 2013, Cotter served as the chair of the Clean Show Executive Committee.
“David was a close colleague of mine for more than 20 years,” said CLA President and CEO Brian Wallace. “His generous mentorship was invaluable as I started my career in association management. David’s example of advocacy and spirit of service to his members will continue to guide me for years to come. All of us at the Coin Laundry Association mourn his loss, and we extend our condolences to David’s family, friends and to the TCATA community.”
TCATA President Leslie Schaeffer is overseeing the association’s current operations and maintaining all services to its members.
