The Coin Laundry Association could not end our Month of Thanks without recognizing our most valuable asset – our volunteers. From the members who contributed their time to LaundryCares events to those who have served as speakers for our events or authors of articles to our LCF and CLA Boards of Directors, the CLA could not succeed without the efforts of its volunteers.

Most of our board members have spent years serving the association, and they give their time and expertise without anything in return, except wanting the best for the association. Some of their recent accomplishments include:

  • Advocated successfully on a national level to designate laundromats as an “essential business” so that they could remain open.
  • The sale of The Clean Show in early 2019, prior to the pandemic shutting down most trade shows indefinitely.
  • Organized the 3rd LaundryCares Literacy Summit in September 2020, which was quickly converted into a virtual event with more than 800 attendees.
  • Created a new Diversity & Inclusion Committee to develop a position for the CLA that reflects our core values, and guides our behavior in all of the CLA’s assets and interfaces with the public.

The CLA would like to thank each and every one of you who have volunteered your time to the association. It is only with the support of our members that the CLA can truly serve and represent this industry.
