No doubt, the news regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) changes by the day, the hour… and sometimes the minute.
As unsettling as this situation may sometimes seem, be assured that the Coin Laundry Association is closely monitoring COVID-19 updates from the Centers for Disease Control and other appropriate national and local public health authorities. The CLA’s top priority is the health and well-being of its members and their customers.
Our mission is to provide our laundromat community with the best information and guidance available from authoritative sources – and to do so on a regular basis. To that end, the CLA has posted a number of tools to www.coinlaundry.org, including information on recommended cleaning and laundering procedures and strategies for employers in supporting their employees, as well as general guidance on how we can all take steps to stay safe and slow the spread of COVID-19.
At the Coin Laundry Association, our team is up and running and safe – and, above all, ready to do its part to help guide you through this uncertain time from a laundry perspective.
You may have seen that we have postponed some upcoming live events in an abundance of caution and in alignment with guidance offered by public health authorities. It’s likely that there will be additional postponements in the near future, and we will share those decisions with you as soon as possible. In the meantime, the CLA website is packed with valuable information and key resources to help you and your laundromat business become even more successful in the coming weeks and months. The CLA staff is already planning for virtual and online delivery of great content – stay tuned for announcements of those programs coming soon.
Above all, the CLA is a community of interest among a special group of entrepreneurs. All of us have an important role to play during this crisis. For decades, the laundromat community has delivered the essential service of clean clothes for millions of families each and every week. Now, we have the opportunity – and responsibility – to help our communities launder their clothes in the best possible environment for cleanliness and hygiene. Clean clothes are a vital part of supporting the neighborhoods we serve, and we’ve never been better at delivering that service.
