On-demand laundry and drycleaning service WashClub, based in Brooklyn, has announced that the company will be expanding internationally in 2017.
“2016 has been an extraordinary year for WashClub, and we are looking forward to continuing our market expansion in 2017, both nationally and globally,” said Rick Rome, president and founder of WashClub. “Our first international branch will open in France in the upcoming months. We know how dreadful laundry tasks can be and want to provide our services to even more customers across the globe.”
During the past 12 months, the company has expanded its presence to 11 new U.S. markets, including Oklahoma City, Denver, Akron, Lehigh Valley, Bakersfield, Alabama, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, Cincinnati, Oakland and Chicago – bringing its total footprint to 32 cities and 16 states nationwide. According to the company, WashClub now has more than 65,000 customers across the country.
“In an era where on-demand companies are transforming almost every industry, we have found ourselves producing exceptional progress and growth across every sector of our business,” said Henri Alexaline, chief financial officer for WashClub.
WashClub said it intends to “further accelerate its leadership in the on-demand laundry space to reach more businesses and households in cities across the world, as it rolls out an aggressive expansion roadmap and strategic growth plan.”
