Brooklyn-based on-demand laundry and drycleaning service WashClub has announced its partnership with DoorDash to provide New York City customers with quick, convenient delivery.
Currently, this new offering is available exclusively in Queens and Brooklyn. However, WashClub and DoorDash are slated to launch in the Bronx this summer and in Manhattan by the end of 2023.
By working with DoorDash, WashClub is able to scale its business in New York City and across the nation, while offering customers greater flexibility and convenience, according to WashClub. The company added that it can adapt to demand in services and utilize drivers only when needed, rather than having drivers waiting idly for orders.
In addition, having DoorDash handle pickup and delivery enables WashClub to concentrate on growing its operations and focus on the other aspects of running the business.
“We’re anticipating incredible feedback in response to this partnership, as it allows us to simplify the busy lives of New Yorkers by easily taking the mundane task of laundry off their plate, but also drives more transactions to the local small businesses that we partner with,” said Rick Rome, founder and CEO of WashClub. “Working with a trusted partner like DoorDash and leveraging its pool of 1.8 million dashers and workers helps us strengthen our relationship with our loyal customers, giving them on-demand delivery they deserve.”
Since 2016, WashClub has continued to optimize and streamline its operations, including the purchase of more efficient laundry equipment. By doing so, the company reports that it has been able to grow its customer base by more than 400 percent.
