The Coin Laundry Association has named Christina Gonzalez the organization’s new director of finance and human resources.
Gonzalez, who joined CLA in April 2012, most recently served as the association’s director of administration and accounting. In her new role, she is responsible for leading all financial planning and analysis for CLA and the LaundryCares Foundation; overseeing all human resources functions; and guiding the implementation and management of the trade group’s accounting, payroll, and HR benefits systems.
“Christina has proven to be an invaluable resource to the CLA team for more than a decade now,” praised CLA President and CEO Brian Wallace. “Her broad set of skills are even more important to our small staff organization, where everyone is challenged with wearing many hats. Christina has a passion for the missions of both CLA and the LaundryCares Foundation, and her leadership in our finance and human resources functions will pave the way for even more success in the future – we’re lucky to have her!”
“It’s been a pleasure to learn and grow at CLA over the last 11 years,” Gonzalez said. “I look forward to continuing to contribute to both CLA and LCF.
“Also, being among the 6 percent of Latinas in the U.S. with an MBA, I feel privileged to be able to break down barriers and succeed with the support of CLA. I hope I can inspire other young Latinas to pursue their dreams as well.”
