Record Numbers Attend Southern California Educational Event
Continental Girbau West, based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., recently hosted its third annual Conference of Champions Profit Symposium. The event – which drew more than 100 laundry owners and investors from throughout southern California – focused on tangible ways to boost vended laundry profits and attract new customers.
“This was an exceptional event that will be tough to match in upcoming years,” said CG West Vice President Tod Sorensen. “We had a record number of attendees, from whom we received extremely positive feedback.”
Highlights of the symposium included a number of presentations by industry experts, which 
ranged from marketing and energy efficiency to fix and flips and financing. In addition, a panel discussion focused on high-speed freestanding washers and their impact on lowering water usage and utility costs.
“The drought in southern California was of top concern,” Sorensen explained. “Coin Laundry Association President Brian Wallace urged attendees to help educate all stakeholders that vended laundries save water and illustrated the many benefits of CLA membership.”

“The momentum of this symposium is growing, and store owners were thrilled with what they learned,” Sorenson noted.
Finally, two attendees won big-screen LG TVs – Paul Randeria of Whittier, Calif., and Ron Rivera of LaunderWorld in Huntington Beach, Calif.
