Imonex has introduced its ImonexFlex line of coin drops for Electrolux and Wascomat vended equipment.
The mechanisms feature a built-in high value coin option allowing laundry owners to keep quarter-only pay and activate dollar coinage acceptance whenever they desire.
Industry surveys consistently show quarter pay offered by more store operators than any other format. As vend prices rise so has interest in dollars to lower customer coin insertions and reduce collection frequency, Imonex said.
Cashless dollar-valued token use in tandem with quarters is also seeing significant gains, the company reports.
The proprietary ImonexFlex design features an enhanced internal stop which allows quarter insertion but blocks high value coinage at the inlet until removed by the owner with the turn of a screw. Connecting the supplied supplemental harness will enable ImonexFlex’s acceptance of dollars and quarters or, alternatively, dollar-valued tokens plus walk-in quarters and dollars on the ImonexFlex+ drop.
Imonex’s new line can be retrofitted on compatible, non-mechanical controlled Electrolux and Wascomat vended washers and dryers.
