More than 200 laundromat owners attended Laundry Pro of Florida‘s 22nd annual Vended Laundry Expo and Open House. This year’s theme was “Come Buy with Us” – a play on words borrowed from the Frank Sinatra classic, “Come Fly with Me.” As a result, the aeronautically themed show appropriately was held inside an airplane hangar at the Sun ‘N Fun Expo campus in Lakeland, Fla.
Dexter Laundry and Continental Girbau both built full laundromats inside their booths, equipped with their latest products. Each company also offered service schools for the show’s attendees.
In addition to Dexter and Continental, the open house featured 18 other exhibitors, including the Coin Laundry Association, American Changer, Incite Energy, Hamilton Engineering, Vend-Rite Manufacturing, Rowe International, PayChex, Imonex, Eastern Funding, USAmeriBank, Card Concepts Inc., Poseidon Textile Care Systems, BancCard, FabriClean Supply, Standard Change-Makers, High Mark Manufacturing, Greenwald Industries, and Horner Insurance.
Lunch was catered by Mission BBQ and Jimmy’s Famous Seafood. Also, all attendees who had pre-registered for the show were entered into a prize drawing – which featured a DexterLive system, 10 55-inch smart TVs, 10 Yeti coolers, a Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino gift card, and more.
“This year’s show was a massive success, thanks to our loyal customers and our hard-working partners,” said Laundry Pro owner Ron Jansen, who remembers holding his company’s very first open house years ago in a small hotel conference room, with only a select few customers. “We would like to thank everyone who came out to our show. We truly had a wonderful time meeting with new customers and visiting with long-time friends.”
