The LaundryCares Foundation will host a free laundry day on July 28 in Baltimore. This event – which is scheduled for 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. – will take place at the state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot Laundry City, located at 5200 Moravia Road.
The upcoming free laundry day is just one of a number of successful LaundryCares outreach efforts since the charitable foundation’s inception. Typically, hundreds of loads of laundry are washed during each of these events – and the free laundry day in Baltimore certainly will be no exception.
Next month’s event at Laundry City in Baltimore is part of a larger concerted advocacy program by the LaundryCares Foundation to provide laundry services and education to those in need, and to offer support to communities that have long supported the self-service laundry industry. The foundation was established by the Coin Laundry Association in 2006.
“Free laundry days are the highlight of what LaundryCares does each and every year,” said CLA President and CEO Brian Wallace. “The impact a single load of laundry can make on a family isn’t lost on us, and it’s humbling to see the good it does for a community. Our goal is to continue to host free laundry days and to reach more families in need across the nation.”
Those interested in giving back to their communities are asked to consider participating in the form of a tax-deductible, charitable donation to the LaundryCares Foundation. For information on how to donate, please visit the donation page at EventBrite.
