In the wake of the devastating tornadoes that recently swept through a large portion of Tennessee, the LaundryCares Foundation will hold a disaster-relief Free Laundry Day event from noon until 8:00 p.m. on January 4 at Martin Laundry in Martin, Tenn.

During this event, the laundromat, which is owned and operated by Barrett Betts, will provide free laundry, free soap and free laundry bags to area residents impacted by the storms that struck in early December.

In addition, LaundryCares has been in contact with several laundromat owners within the affected regions to offer support and encouragement in the aftermath of these storms, which ravaged so many communities throughout Tennessee, as well as Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri.

Visit the LaundryCares website for more information about joining the LaundryCares Network of store owners who are making a difference in the communities they serve.
