SAMCO recently announced that Adrienne Gibbs and Melissa Roberts have assumed management of the company’s day-to-day operations, with future plans of total ownership of the distributor.
Gibbs, who has been with the company since 2000, started out answering the phones and performing general office functions – eventually learning all aspects of the business and stepping into any role needed at any given time. Today, she is responsible for running the entire office – ordering equipment, scheduling installations, taking service calls, service and equipment billing, team member management and more. In addition, Gibbs meets with laundry-owner customers to help them improve their businesses.
Roberts started with SAMCO in 1998. Similar to Gibbs, she began her career at the company answering the phones and performing general office duties. From there, she progressed into accounts payable and receivable, as well as parts and installation of apartment card systems. After learning those roles, she went into sales for the company in 2005, developing strong relationships with SAMCO customers ever since.
SAMCO, headquartered in Fayetteville, Ga., was established in 1948 and serves laundry owners throughout Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
