Statewide Laundry – with offices in Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and Miami – recently completed a three-day series of Laundry Improvement Expos. The company kicked off the 2018 shows on September 18 at an all-new venue, the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla. Statewide concluded the Expos on September 26 at its south Florida headquarters in Hialeah, just outside of Miami.
Leading manufacturers and other vendors were on hand to share the latest products and services for today’s vended laundry businesses. The events included equipment seminars on Speed Queen Insights and Quantum technology.
Show attendees were able to meet with industry leaders during a “vendor crawl”on all three days of the event. Also, service seminars educated store owners and potential investors as to the latest industry trends and equipment. Michael Sokolowski, chief operating officer for the Coin Laundry Association, and Tom Weisheipl, a regional sales manager for Speed Queen, were just a couple of the notable guest speakers at the Expos.
“Our goal for the Expo is to provide laundry owners with tangible information that they can use to improve their businesses and profitability,” said David Chadsey, vice president of Statewide Laundry Equipment. “Our staff was supported by the leading equipment and technology representatives in the industry – and, by all accounts, we delivered. [Statewide Vice President of Development] Jim Rogers has been producing this event for more than 20 years, and it just keeps getting better.”
New to this year’s events were panel discussions, where attendees could interact with other laundry owners and industry professionals. Special financing, as well as discounts on soap and parts, also were available during the shows.
“This show was the best distributor show ever held in Florida,” Rogers suggested. “The excitement, the magnificent venue and the attendance were the best ever. We’re very proud to be the best distributor partner a Florida laundromat owner can have on his team.”
Statewide’s Laundry Improvement Expos are held every fall in central and south Florida to benefit laundry owners across the state.
