Wash-Dry-Fold POS founder Brian Henderson deployed his company’s first three point-of-sale systems as a practical and affordable way to manage employees at Liberty Laundry, his family’s chain of laundromats in Broken Arrow, Okla.
After nine years of product growth and improvement, Wash-Dry-Fold POS is celebrating the installation of its 1000th point-of-sale system at Laundry Depot in Bay Shore, N.Y., which is owned by the Lau family who operate multiple laundromats in Bay Shore.
“I have Wash-Dry-Fold POS systems in multiple stores now, and I can simply check on my phone to make sure that my employees are clocked-in when they said they would be,” Lau explained. “The dashboard shows when they clock in, what orders they’re working on, and the work they’ve already done. It’s like having a manager that is constantly keeping me up-to-date on all of my locations.”
Early adapters of laundromat technology, the Lau family boasts nearly 30 years of successful laundromat ownership experience. Every year Lau has grown the family business in both revenue and efficiency.
“I’ve recently gone coinless with Laundroworks payment systems in some of my stores, and the Wash-Dry-Fold POS system integrates perfectly, acting as a sort of backup VAC – so it pays for itself with that function alone,” Lau noted. “But, it also keeps the employees honest and productive when I’m out of the store, which increases the amount of revenue we can reinvest in the business. Once you have the system in place, you don’t want to go without it.”
