My business partner and I are building a 4,500-square-foot laundromat in Arizona. We are just about finished, and one of the last tasks we’re left with is deciding what to do about the outdoor sign on the corner of the lot. We are considering a standard, double-faced sign in red, white and blue lettering as large as possible. What do you think? Do you have any other ideas?
In my opinion, the most effective type of signage these days is an electronic messaging sign that also includes a large stationary sign with the name of the business right above the message board.
The critical feature, of course, is the flexible messaging capability. You can advertise your business hours, your services, your specials, your promotions, holiday greetings, community events, and so on.
Today, such signs are so much more practical than standard signage. You can change the messages directly from your laptop or mobile device – unlike older, traditional signage, where each letter needs to be changed manually.
With an electronic sign, you can change the colors, and be as creative as you want with your messages, typefaces and designs. Most importantly, this type of sign is much more eye-catching to potential customers, especially those driving past your laundromat.
An electronic sign would easily be my choice of exterior signage for your new store. Good luck with your new venture!
