WashClub, an on-demand laundry service, has announced that it is officially open for business in Staten Island, N.Y., as well as in Union and Hudson Counties in New Jersey. The expansion is part of the company’s growth within the New York City metro area, making Staten Island the fourth borough WashClub services and the third county within New Jersey.
In addition, the company recently extended its reach into the Chicago market, marking its first move into the Midwest.
“We’re proud to bring our innovative technology and services to Staten Island and north New Jersey,” explained Rick Rome, founder and president of WashClub. “As the demand for delivery services grows, we’ll continue to see a dramatic change in consumption patterns for laundry and drycleaning not only in New York City but nationwide, with customers increasingly reliant on rapid solutions. Simply put, doing laundry or drycleaning is a time-consuming process that we’re dedicated to making easier and more efficient.”
One of the company’s main goals is to provide a solution for the chore, as many customers are busy parents, working professionals or frantic students, according to Rome.
“We’re also thrilled to bring our services to Chicago, increasing our presence across major cities,” he added. “There’s simply nothing like this in Chicago. Our core business is focused on in-house quality of cleaning, technology and logistics; we’re confident that this will improve the way Chicagoans do laundry and drycleaning.”
WashClub, which originated in Brooklyn, owns and operates every facet of its service. The company is also active in several other metropolitan areas, including Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Virginia Beach, southern New Jersey/Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Washington D.C. and portions of Alabama.
Customers can place orders through the company’s mobile app or website. WashClub will alert customers up to 30 minutes prior to pickup/drop off and will deliver directly to the customers’ front steps or their doorman within 24 to 48 hours.
