Whirlpool Commercial Laundry has announced its recently restructured management team.

“Enhancing our team’s talent is one of the many steps we are taking to deliver on our long-term vision, which includes continuous improvement projects that drive our renewed commitment to operational excellence and standout customer experience,” said General Manager Trey Northrup. “Steve Hietpas, Randy Karn, Nick Koukourakis and Rebecca Ross not only bring fresh, out-of-the-box ideas to their new roles, they help us examine our efforts and the industry in a refreshing new light.”

Steve Hietpas is the company’s new international sales manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in commercial laundry, Hietpas has spent nearly two-thirds of his career in the field, working closely with key distributor contacts. He is responsible for long-range strategic planning with regard to the company’s international business.

Randy Karn has transitioned to become Whirlpool’s global service manager, where he will coordinate internal and external initiatives and programs to support the company’s long-range plan. His 35 years in the industry and strategic leadership will provide a strong foundation and help guide the product development process.

With a degree in mechanical engineering, an extensive technical background and more than 15 years of marketing and sales experience, Nick Koukourakis has been chosen as the company’s new multi-load product manager. Koukourakis is responsible for helping to bridge market gaps and engineer new multi-load products “to exceed customer expectations, efficiency standards and industry needs,” according to Whirlpool.

Rebecca Ross has been named commercial laundry brand manager. Since joining the corporation in 2002, Ross has held various roles with increasing responsibility in brand marketing, co-marketing and channel marketing.

In addition, the company announced recent investments in research and development, product testing and training.
