The Coin Laundry Association held a festive dinner party at The Clean Show on June 6, 2017. In attendance were CLA members including laundry owners, prospective laundry investors, distributors, CLA staff and manufacturers, as well as partners of the organization and the LaundryCares Foundation.
The theme for this year’s party was the CLA’s own nightclub “Fabriq,” and featured food, drinks, music “spun” by a professional DJ, and fellowship among members of the self-service laundry industry. The low-lit atmosphere was offset by flashing lights in the CLA’s blue and green colors. Moreover, there were four “VIP” areas with lush couches and pillows for each of the event’s premium sponsors.
This sell-out event delighted over 500 attendees, who not only enjoyed a fine dinner and abundant networking opportunities, but also many took to the dancefloor. A good time was had by all.

At the event, the CLA recognized two award recipients:
R&B Wire Products
This year marks the 50th anniversary of R&B Wire Products being a member of the CLA. In attendance at the event was the company’s CEO, Rick Rawlins, who graciously accepted the award. The CLA is grateful for its long-term relationship with R&B and looks forward to many more years of working together to serve the laundry industry.

Mort Pollack
Parts distributor, laundry-industry pioneer and long-time CLA member, PWS received the Founder’s Award from the CLA. Accepting the award on behalf of the founder, Mort Pollack, was his son and co-president, Brad Pollack. Also in attendance was Brad Steinberg, the company’s other co-president. It was mentioned that even in his 90s, Mort still comes to the office every Monday for the company’s weekly operations meetings.
